?THE BOATING LAKE...grandparents of the eight...and with a brood of five of their own...were camped out on the island over the bridge from the cafe...

!FUNNY OLD DAY...really...cloudburst at 06.30 caught me only half prepared...there was lotsa blue sky about...then this one blackun opened up and had me scrambling...for my cape...didnt last long...continued off and on until early afternoon...then...

!SWAN ARCADIA...den&mam have had six cygnets...they took them out for a spin this afternoon...followed by hordes of salivating seagulls...this all despite the horrendous flora day incident...on loe pool no sign of littluns...though there must be some 30+ swans out of den&mam cohabiting and reproducing somewhat incestuosly...

!KNACKERED...cycled the degibna route around loe pool to the bar...about 15+km......we built three macewan castles just off to the right of the photo...back along penrose to the boating lake and playground...finn nodded off for about half an hour as i pedalled under a blazing sun...finn climbed slidded swinged roundabouted ranabouted for about an hour in the playground...while i recovered slowly from my exertions...

?RAIDING PARTY...took finn over to my mothers where he devoured...numerous biscuits several dates a scone...managed to keep him clear of the sweets and ice-cream...he bounced about and played ball with my mother for a while...then home where we played more ball...

!MACEWAN CASTLE...rebuilt on loe bar by finn and i this pm...beautiful beach weather...as we cycled the penrose path and back to the swings and roundabout at the boating lake...

?CLIMBING FRAME FAME...finn traversed the frame for the first time...so we celebrated with a mini milk...and a cooled bottle of spring water from the cafe...a very big bold seagull pecked up finns lolly droppings below our feet as we sat outside the cafe...

?MATHEMATICS...took over when everybody went their different ways after the mid-day dance had passed our grandstand view...two to the pub...four to the fair and boating lake playground...two of the oldest home to rest...i had a brief wine induced nap...hoovered up the sev scattered by the kids...and then set about resolving the sturm-liouville systems normal form and invariant...which took a few sides of paper and perseverance...it was easy to lose a dash or gain one in the differential equations...but now all sorted...block four exercise 11.1 done and dusted...
